Telling someone you have a crush on them can be extremely difficult, unless you have LOVE TRAP on your side! We set up the perfect opportunity for a person who has a secret crush to make their move and tell that unsuspecting someone how they really feel. Then we blow the whistle to reveal they're on TV! Will the trapper snag a 'real date' with their prey?
Take Marie, for example. She desperately wants to meet Matt. She has come to LOVE TRAP and its host, the charismatic Evan Starkman (MTV’s The Real World) to see what can be done. Together, Evan and Marie will work through a couple of scenarios on where to spring the LOVE TRAP (in this case, they settle on a cocktail mixing class where it’s up to Marie to get the friendship shaken and stirred). With a combination of surveillance (and a less-than-honest ‘telemarketing call’), Evan learns what Matt finds attractive.
Watching alongside with Evan is a relationship expert or best friend who, via hidden earpiece, can sneak advice to our brave and nervous trapper. Once the scenario has run its course and the trap is complete, we ambush the couple with the truth and Evan reveals what's really going on. In the end, will the trapper snag their crush on a real date? No strings. No cameras. No more traps.
